About The Position

As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence at a retail location to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of armed security experience.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as required.
Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate any potential hazards or concerns to management and Allied Universal leadership.
Operate and carry authorized firearms in accordance with company policy and training, maintaining control and responsibility at all times.
Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or customer service needs as required by the location.
