About The Position

The Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Facility’s Medicare/Medicaid and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs. This role works closely with prospective residents and their families to collect and verify accurate documentation in a timely manner. The Eligibility Coordinator delivers a high level of hospitality to potential residents while operating with a strong sense of urgency and exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Experience in Assisted Living or working with the geriatric population required
• Experience with MS office required
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic communication style
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfortable having follow-up conversations with residents and families
• Ability to proactively coordinate with residents, families, and external partners to gather documentation in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Serves as a supportive point of contact for prospective residents and their families throughout the LIHTC application process
• Collects, reviews, and organizes required documentation to ensure applications are accurate and complete
• Prepares and submits LIHTC applications for review and approval in a timely manner
• Tracks and monitors application progress, following up as needed to keep the process moving smoothly
• Maintains organized and compliant records for current and past LIHTC files
• Partners with the Marketing and Sales Director to provide administrative and documentation support
• Ensures all required paperwork is completed accurately prior to resident move-in
• Occasionally provides tours to prospective residents and their families, helping them feel comfortable and informed
