About The Position

The Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging learning environment for young students. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction aligned with standards, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with families and staff to support student success. Additionally, the teacher is expected to follow district policies and state guidelines, maintain accurate records and reports, attend meetings and serve on committees as needed, and support district goals and student safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach standards-based lessons
• Use Science of Reading strategies for literacy instruction
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Build a safe, respectful, and organized classroom
• Communicate regularly with families
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
• Refer students to support services (ESL, Special Education, G/T, etc.)
• Participate in curriculum planning and school initiatives
• Follow district policies and state guidelines
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as needed
• Support district goals and student safety
