Teachers in this position are expected to cooperate with school personnel and parents, demonstrate professional growth, and adhere to Louisiana laws concerning student welfare. A $2,000 stipend is offered to teachers who select a target school (defined by high percentages of economically disadvantaged or English Language Learner students) for their first year, and a target content stipend is available for those holding a Louisiana Level 1+ Teaching Certificate or Out of State Certification in Special Education.
