POSITION SPECIFICS: The Elementary Teacher Pool (Multiple Subject) is for assignments for the 2026-2027 school year. The San Diego Unified School District accepts applications for the Multiple Subject teachers on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. The Elementary Teacher Pool is for individuals who hold a multiple subjects credential or who are attaining a multiple subjects credential through a teacher credentialing program and want to teach in a TK through 6th grade environment. This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list for elementary and K-8 schools. Candidates that do not wish to be considered for regular full-time/part-time positions should apply to the substitute teacher pool to be considered for temporary assignments. Examples of Duties: An Elementary Multiple Subjects Teacher develops and implements lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the District's curriculum program. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Board of Education and administrative regulations. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles. Encourage pupils to think independently and to express original ideas. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Assess student progress on objectives, expectations, and/or goals and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment, including instructional media.
