About The Position

Alden Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified, certified Special Education Teacher for a Grade 3-5 Transitions Program. Requirements

Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement: Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities (All)
Experience with IEP development and data collection
Management skills that support students social emotional learning
Familiarity with MA Curriculum Frameworks Access and Entry Points
Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices
Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

Classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction
Provide direct instruction in the co-teach environment with modifications
Provide direct instruction in the core content areas
Complete MCAS Alternative Assessment Portfolios as necessary
Develop and implement student success plans as necessary
Support skill development for Activities of Daily Living as necessary
