About The Position
McKeesport Area School District is seeking a reliable and flexible Elementary Permanent Day-to-Day Substitute to support instructional continuity across elementary grade levels. This position is assigned daily within the building to provide classroom coverage and maintain consistent learning environments for students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree)
Nice To Haves
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK–4, K–6, or 4–8
- Flexible and adaptable across grade levels and subject areas
- Strong classroom management skills
- Professional, dependable, and student-centered
- Able to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher
- Implement lesson plans and instructional materials as provided
- Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment
- Follow school policies, procedures, and behavior expectations
- Communicate effectively with staff and administration
- Perform basic supervisory duties as assigned (arrival, dismissal, lunch, etc.)
Benefits
- $150 per day plus individual benefits
