About The Position

The Elementary Classroom Teacher's goal is to impart knowledge, wisdom, and information to students in a biblical manner. To plan, instruct, and organize instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their spiritual, educational, and social development. There are several openings in the elementary school, lower and upper grades.

Requirements

Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony (Galatians 5:22-23)
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3, Ephesians 2:8-9)
Active participate of a local Bible-believing church
Ability to apply Biblical solutions to problems
Personal integrity and self-motivation in the fulfillment of WCA mission
Speak, read, and write English fluently
Desire for continued career improvement
A calling to Christian education and a love for students
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, and telecommunication
Demonstrate proficiency with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in area being taught
Degree in education or other with education courses, and knowledge of subject matter
Minimum classroom experience (student teaching)
ACSI Certified within two years of hiring
CPR/First Aid certified
