About The Position

The PRN Electrophysiology Cardiologist provides intermittent, high-quality specialty care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. This role includes evaluating and managing complex arrhythmias, performing electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures, and implanting and managing cardiac rhythm devices as needed. The PRN electrophysiologist collaborates with cardiology and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care while supporting variable coverage needs. Board certification/eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and an active medical license are required.

Requirements

Current Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
Fellowship training within Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas
Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease
Board Eligible/Board Certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders
Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures
Implant, program, and manage cardiac rhythm devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and intracardiac recordings
Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, and procedural teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Document clinical findings, procedures, and treatment plans in the medical record
Provide PRN coverage in accordance with departmental and hospital policies
