About The Position

The PRN Electrophysiology Cardiologist provides intermittent, high-quality specialty care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. This role includes evaluating and managing complex arrhythmias, performing electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures, and implanting and managing cardiac rhythm devices as needed. The PRN electrophysiologist collaborates with cardiology and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care while supporting variable coverage needs. Board certification/eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and an active medical license are required.

Requirements

  • Current Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Fellowship training within Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas
  • Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Board Eligible/Board Certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders
  • Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures
  • Implant, program, and manage cardiac rhythm devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
  • Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and intracardiac recordings
  • Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, and procedural teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Document clinical findings, procedures, and treatment plans in the medical record
  • Provide PRN coverage in accordance with departmental and hospital policies
