This position will be part of the Bond team and will provide support for bond-funded projects. This position is funded for 4 to 5 years. The Low Voltage Systems Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of of district-wide low voltage communication and audio systems. This role supports technology infrastructure across multiple campuses, focusing on clock/timekeeping systems, intercom systems, scoreboards, paging systems, and sound/PA systems. ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS & REQUIREMENTS - Temperature & Weather: Able to work in extreme heat, cold, and varying outdoor weather conditions - Hazards: Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, heavy vibrations, elevated heights, and potential exposure to contaminants, odors, or wet environments - Workplace Conditions: Adaptable to environments with varying levels of noise, lighting conditions, and overall cleanliness - Location & Schedule: Willing to work at different indoor and outdoor job sites on a variable schedule, which may include overtime or irregular hours as necessary ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS & REQUIREMENTS - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wears safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, fall protection gear, and other required PPE - Required to move around work place, manipulating and handling, reaching for and detecting objects and equipment while simultaneously balancing, positioning and lifting - Capable of maintaining an appropriate work pace - Frequent lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds; Occasional lifting of over fifty (50) pounds - Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders - Frequent sitting, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
