About The Position

As a Tier IV Electronics Technician, you’ll take a leading role in equipment reliability, automation optimization, and process improvement across HiTHIUM’s U.S. manufacturing operations. You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with data-driven decision making to increase uptime, reduce recurring failures, and enhance system efficiency. This position represents the transition from advanced technical capability to leadership in reliability and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify systemic issues, develop long-term solutions, and guide technical initiatives that elevate plant performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or reliability engineering
  • Advanced understanding of PLC networks, robotic systems, and automated controls
  • Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience leading technical projects and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
  • Ability to analyze equipment performance data and translate findings into actionable plans
  • Familiarity with RCA tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) and CI principles (Kaizen, TPM)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and mentorship skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for high-impact downtime events and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for automated systems and robotics.
  • Support PLC and controls logic optimization in collaboration with engineering.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using data from EAM, MES, and production KPIs
  • Drive initiatives in predictive and condition-based maintenance (vibration, thermography, harmonic, etc.)
  • Coordinate technical training and knowledge-sharing across technician tiers
  • Support new equipment commissioning and contribute to design feedback for maintainability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
