SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician III to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in North Charleston, SC.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent (GED) and five (8) years related experience.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret TDP and mechanical drawings
  • Troubleshooting of computer systems and networks
  • Experience replacing components, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills including; technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal
  • Organization and Time Management Skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000, Department of Defense (DoD) and industry documentation standards for Engineering and Design.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and able to receive direction, and take constructive criticism.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics components.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Control
  • Create technical work instructions for new and existing equipment across multiple programs.
  • Skills in restoring equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Review existing process risks, and implement process improvements with the goal to exceed performance objectives and reduce costs and schedule.
  • Some practical knowledge of science or engineering.
  • Candidate will repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication); personal and main frame computers and terminals.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with established processes or other control procedures.
