About The Position

Assisting in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple variants of ship vessels (Navy-MSC) Assisting technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical circuits Taking test readings using common instruments such as multi-meter, time-domain reflectometer (TDR), and optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) Providing feedback to production management and QA with identified issues/defects in design or during the fabrication/integration phase with regards to cables or equipment racks Performing on-site installation of equipment and products in the continental United States within various environments to include Naval bases and privately-owned shipyards Working from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING #LI-JC1

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of a two-year technical degree and three years of work related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience should add up to five years
  • Shipboard Electronics installation experience to include understanding of the following standards: MIL-STD-1310H, MIL-STD-1678-1D, MIL-STD-2003A, and MIL-STD-2042C
  • Proficiency in using cable fabrication hand tools to include but not limited to: heat guns, hand soldering stations, and various crimp tools
  • Cable fabrication assembly experience with the following types of cables: RF, CAT5/6, Heliax, Multi-pin MIL-STD Cannon Plugs
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Must possess and maintain a valid 10 hour OSHA Maritime Shipyard Employment Course #7615 or NAVSEA approved equivalent completion card
  • FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING
  • SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

  • Navy A and C School
  • Fiber Optic Termination and Testing experience (NAVSEA 8477552 Rev C MIL-STD-2042C)
  • Certification from KITCO or kSARIA
