About The Position

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Electronics Engineer - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide engineering, design, and development support for new product launches and development projects pertaining to electronics in exterior automotive lighting products.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, plus up to 2 years of experience in a position involving electronics development OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of experience in a position involving electronics development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Electrical Engineering within automotive manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides design, development, and production support regarding the electrical requirements for new lighting products in order to meet program timing goals.
  • Conducts and oversees design validation tests for prototype and production hardware.
  • Recommends and implements design changes to production products per prototype testing results.
  • Conducts DFMEA, DVP&R, wiring schematics, component selection, and other technical support on assigned programs per customer requirements.
  • Provides electronics related guidance and technical advice to design and engineering for new product development and production programs.
  • Generates new concepts for improving electronics design capabilities.
