Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electronic Assembler with experience in high voltage pulsed systems to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, reworking, and testing high voltage pulsed electronic systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic assembly techniques, proficiency in PCB-level rework, and the ability to work with complex high voltage systems safely and accurately. This position is a full-time onsite role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, four years of equivalent experience in electronic assembly with a focus on high voltage pulsed systems or similar power electronic systems.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience assembling high voltage pulsed electronic systems.
  • Proven experience in working with high voltage components and systems.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with minor PCB rework and component-level repair.
  • Strong understanding of electronic assembly techniques and high voltage components.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and assembly machinery.
  • Practical skills in PCB rework, including soldering, desoldering, and using magnification tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, assembly instructions, and PCB layouts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in assembly and rework tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and quality control teams.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Ability to work in high voltage environments safely and effectively while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Willingness to undergo periodic training and certification updates.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or on-call as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in electronic assembly, high voltage safety, or IPC soldering/rework standards are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble high voltage pulsed electronic systems and components according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Perform minor PCB rework and repair, including component-level soldering (through-hole and surface-mount), desoldering, and board cleaning.
  • Use hand tools, precision soldering equipment, microscopes, and other assembly/rework tools to complete and correct assemblies with precision and quality.
  • Conduct preliminary tests on assembled and reworked systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Perform visual inspections and functional tests to verify correct assembly and operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly and rework processes, including any modifications or deviations from standard procedures.
  • Document test results and report any discrepancies or issues to the engineering team.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols related to handling and assembling high voltage equipment (including adhering to any PPE requirements).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company safety guidelines during all assembly and rework tasks.
  • Handle and store electronic components, PCBs, and assemblies according to best practices to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies used in the assembly process.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on the latest assembly techniques, rework standards, and safety practices.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the assembly department.
