Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electronic Technician to build, test, troubleshoot to component level, and repair production electronic parts, equipment, and systems on complex product lines. You will report directly to the Line Lead of the work cell and have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Mineral Wells, TX. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

Requirements

  • Technical Associate Degree/Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced soldering skills.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools, and some power tools.
  • Proven ability to train other technicians or assemblers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to track trends in failures.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot problems to discrete component levels.
  • Work at different workstations and/or in different cells as production needs require.
  • Ensure FOD/5S practices are followed to maintain clean and orderly workstations.
  • Perform test on products per engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Assemble parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Request additional parts needed for specified job orders from Stockroom.
  • Operate production and conventional test equipment and tools. (DVM, oscilloscope)
  • Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Phase out, repair, and evaluate units and PCB’s.
  • Perform programming and troubleshooting issues found during programming of PCB’s.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering to capture issues found during troubleshooting.
  • Document unit failure and record trends.
  • Keep records on updates and modifications.
  • Ensure quality of product through consistency.
  • Ensure product traceability.
