About The Position

As an Electronic Operational Technology Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, diagnostics, installation, and repair of various electronic systems. Including installing and configuring network switches, Vmware/Vsphere systems, firewalls routers, servers, and workstations. You will be the back-up contact responsible for all activities related to the installation / modification / maintenance of Server, Network and Database infrastructure supporting systems in the jurisdiction of the Aviation Maintenance OT group. You will define/implement system backup and recovery strategies. You will define/implement system patching and upgrading strategies. You will implement standardized system monitoring tools for all networks, servers and applications being managed by AVM/ET group. You will ensure project compliance with established system architecture standards. You will participate and serve as the technical representative in various meetings with crews, management, projects and other forums to ensure that all infrastructure components (network, server, database, etc.) of new and existing projects are brought to the infrastructure team for architecture review prior to acceptance of design. You will provide design, administration, maintenance, installation, and repair of complex electronic systems, server installation and maintenance, network infrastructure installation, troubleshooting and repair. You will execute cybersecurity countermeasures, including server patching, firmware updates, and firewall configuration. You will provide field service and engineering support to systems such as Video Management System, Access Control, Terminal Wide Voice Paging, Baggage Sortation Systems, Parking Revenue Control Systems, Flight Information Management System (FIMS), Common Use System Environment (CUSE), 800 MHz Trunked Radio System, and numerous other electronic systems. You will provide software support and troubleshooting for SQL databases, Windows and Linux applications, virtual machine clusters, network monitoring tools and unique airline applications.

Requirements

  • Experienced – You have five (5) years experience in electronic and computer systems with hardware and software design, administration, and troubleshooting of complex systems.

  • Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle.
  • As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
  • In compliance with Federal and State laws as the successful candidate, you will be required to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) criminal history background check.
  • You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Desired – We hope you have an Associate Degree or certification from a recognized electronic technical school, or related program and ten (10) years experience in complex computer-managed electronic systems.
