About The Position

We are looking for a Part-Time Electronic Security System Technician II who can help with installing, diagnosing issues, and testing electronic security setups such as access control, intrusion sensors, and network systems on an as-needed basis. This role involves working alone at times and collaborating with others on a Department of Defense security project. This position is contingent upon contract award

Requirements

  • Possess 2-4 years of experience in electronic security systems or a related field
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and alarm systems
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Exhibit the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites
  • Showcase strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take the initiative to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools (i.e. wire cutters, drills, screw drivers, etc.).
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Lenel certification is preferred but not required
  • Skilled in the use of testing equipment, such as multimeters, preferred.
  • Electronic Security System Manufacturer Certifications Preferred (Lenel, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, DMP)

Responsibilities

  • Install and service electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection, infrastructure, etc.) according to project specifications and codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform conduit and raceway installation, equipment rack assembly, cable installation, and cable termination
  • Install system components including, but not limited to, head end equipment, security panels, card readers, and door hardware
  • Assist in system configuration and network integration
  • Assist in system verification testing and documentation
  • Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Provide on-site customer training and support
  • Comply with safety protocols and quality standard
  • Other duties as assigned
