The Electronic Services Representative supports customers by assisting with all digital and electronic banking channels, ensuring smooth and secure use of online platforms. This role troubleshoots technical issues, processes electronic transactions, maintains account accuracy, and provides guidance on digital products such as mobile banking, online banking, bill pay, ACH, and card services.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Meet the requirements for telecommuting work arrangement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preserves the credit union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.
  • Contacts delinquent members and co-signers by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.
  • Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
  • Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity and updates the credit union's delinquency tracking system.
  • Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
  • Attends legal proceedings, files claims and judgements as required.
  • Investigates and corrects credit bureau discrepancies thru e-OSCAR program.
  • Works and collects negative share and share draft accounts as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure timely contact of members with delinquent loans to inquire about re-payment intent and initiates calls to members on a daily basis until contact is made.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of all collection and recovery activity.
  • Adheres to provisions as set forth in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and ensures collection activity is always within credit union policy and all relevant regulations.
  • Enters concise, professional memos in the appropriate collections system of each contact or contact attempt.
  • Provides informed, professional assistance/support to all members and associates and troubleshoots/resolves inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Complies with collection policy and acts promptly when placing judgements, ordering repossessions, or starting foreclosure procedures in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
  • Actively attends and participates in assigned committee meetings and events.
  • Completes quarterly learning management modules in a timely manner with a passing grade of 90%.
