About The Position

TEKsystems is looking for an experienced Electronic Security Service Technician to handle routine and emergency service calls. You will troubleshoot, repair, and replace security equipment with minimal supervision. This role also includes supporting customers and helping train junior technicians.

Requirements

• Qsys – Must have experience installing and servicing Qsys equipment.
• Multi-Meter – Must be able to use a multimeter to trace and diagnose electrical issues.
• Reliable Vehicle – Must have dependable transportation to travel between job sites.

• High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
• 3+ years of experience in electronic security service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for: Intrusion systems Fire alarm systems CCTV Intercoms Access control
• Knowledge of local and national security/electrical codes.
• Skilled with test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and emergency service calls.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning security equipment.
• Perform system testing and verify signal functionality.
• Provide professional, high‑quality customer service.
• Teach customers how their systems operate.
• Coach and train less experienced technicians when needed.
• Maintain proper inventory of tools and equipment in your work vehicle.
• Use technical resources and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
• Document all work performed and hours worked.
• Submit required reports and paperwork on time.
• Complete additional assigned projects.
• Maintain strong work ethic and attention to detail.
