About The Position

Electronic Bean Operations/Welder Duties/Responsibilities: Set up and operate Electron Beam Welding machines to weld various metal parts, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to determine welding requirements. Select proper fixtures, tooling, and parameters for each welding job. Inspect completed welds to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards using precision measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of EB welding machines. Document welding parameters, inspection results, and job completion in logs or computer systems. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve welding issues and optimize processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience operating Electron Beam welding equipment or other precision welding methods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
  • Familiarity with vacuum chamber operations and high-voltage equipment
  • Basic math and computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or semiconductor manufacturing
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of metallurgical properties and welding behavior of exotic metals
