Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist (Industrial Electrical) Location: St. Charles, IL Shift: First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Hourly Range: $38.15–$47.02 Are these challenges your kind of work? Do you thrive diagnosing complex interactions between drive trains, hydraulics, vacuum controls, and heat transfer? Your mission Own the preventive and corrective electrical maintenance that keeps our industrial operation running reliably. You’ll follow Pactiv’s safety and environmental programs every step of the way and perform installations and repairs in compliance with local and state building/safety codes. How you’ll make an impact Execute PMs and corrective work to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime Apply lockout/tagout and other safety procedures without exception; use PPE and follow ladder, machine/tool, and powered vehicle protocols Handle both minor and major electrical installations and repairs Leverage diagnostic tools—multimeters, micrometers, stethoscopes, and more—for precise troubleshooting Plan, log, and close work in Pactiv’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including labor utilization and activity details Assist with additional maintenance duties as assigned to support safe, cost-effective operations What you’ll need to succeed 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting High mechanical aptitude with a track record of troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software Problem-solving mindset; strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and as part of a team Associate degree or Electrical Engineering Certificate preferred Physical demands and environment Stand and walk regularly; frequent talking and hearing to coordinate with team members Use hands and fingers to handle tools, parts, and controls; climb, stoop, bend, and reach Occasional pushing/pulling with hands or arms; kneeling or crouching Lift/move up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Close vision and color differentiation required Work independently with minimal supervision; maintain a positive, cooperative approach Consistent noise levels above 85 dB; frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts and lift trucks Exposure to paper-converting dust; occasional fumes/vapors and products such as degreasers and silicone sprays Elevated ambient temperature and humidity in summer months Core capabilities Electrical schematics literacy Hands-on experience with 120/208/240/480 VAC systems
