See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: As part of the talented Navico Group - Power Solutions team, you will support a wide portfolio of marine and RV electrical products. You will resolve product issues, work on product improvements, and support new product development. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver. Essential Functions: You will focus on the continuous improvement of a broad range of mechanical and electrical products and systems. You will create test fixtures for mechanical and electrical testing. You will perform root cause analysis of product failures, propose corrective actions, and document your findings. You will be expected to collaborate with others across global teams encompassing engineering, marketing, sourcing, production, quality, and technical service. You will review product improvement proposals, develop test plans, and perform testing to ensure that the proposed changes are sound in design and thoroughly tested before being implemented. You will support both new product development and sustaining engineering activities. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong hands-on skills in a test lab environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marine electrical products.
  • Experience working with a global cross functional team.
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical systems and products to the PCBA board level.
  • Familiar with the safe use of standard electrical test equipment such as: Digital multimeters and current probes Benchtop power supplies Oscilloscopes
  • Knowledge of AC (125/250 VAC) and DC battery (12/24 VDC) power distribution.
