The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, be available for overtime as needed, and be on call during a regular rotation schedule.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment is required.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures is required.
  • Ability to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • The commitment to stay safe and to continue to learn and develop.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs is preferred.
  • Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls is preferred, but not required.
  • Five to fifteen (5-15) years’ experience in electrical and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the principles of electricity and electronics; electrical codes; standard methods, materials, tools and equipment of the trade; electrical devices such as controls, switches, starters, transformers, motors, and panel boards; and potential occupational hazards connected with electrical work and the safety standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.
  • Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Safely operate and repair forklifts.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
