About The Position

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate as part of a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell supporting U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you: Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high impact, dynamic environment. Have the experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Pacific. Have experience working with AI or Language Model (LM) tools to support data analysis, reporting, or operational decision-making. You will provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM and PACFLT senior leader consumption. You'll also provide research and analysis of various pertinent national security policies, military strategies, vulnerability assessments, threat and intelligence assessments. This position will identify operational areas of concern, inform planning efforts, and help develop new concepts and identify new capabilities for Electromagnetic Warfare. The ever-increasing demands associated with a congested and contested electromagnetic environment requires strategic and operational partners who are properly postured to meet mission critical requirements. You will support innovative approaches to integrating partner nation capabilities as well as close coordination with Service Components, research labs, industry, OSD, and Joint Staff. This position will work directly for the USINDOPACOM JEMSO cell with primary responsibility and place of work embedded at PACFLT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, In lieu of degree, at least 10 years' of combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy.
  • At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component or equivalent HQ.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
  • Familiar with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers.
  • Experience analyzing operational data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with AI or Language Model (LM) tools in system administration, operational planning, or data analysis context.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
  • Background in U.S. Navy JEMSO operations in the air domain.
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
  • Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
  • Familiar with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM and PACFLT senior leader consumption.
  • Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises with a specific focus on PACFLT related operations.
  • Utilize experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) focused on PACFLT operations that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.
  • Support the integration and application of AI/LM tools to enhance data analysis, reporting accuracy, and operational insights.
