About The Position

The EKG Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the EKG program, overseeing clinical services, staff performance, and digital system integrity across the health system. This role is responsible for budgeting, policy development, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with safety and patient care standards. The manager fosters a collaborative team environment, drives service excellence, and represents the department in clinical initiatives. Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining high patient experience scores, and aligning departmental operations with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. In-depth understanding of electrocardiograms and cardiac-related diagnostic tests. Knowledge of hospital safety standards, patient care regulations, and compliance requirements. Knowledge of QA programs, patient experience metrics, and performance improvement strategies. Strong facilitation and communication skills for leading committees and cross-functional initiatives. Skilled in performing and interpreting EKGs and related cardiac tests. Proficient in using digital systems for clinical documentation and data management. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including clinical, administrative, and leadership tasks. Capable of identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, patients, and leadership. Ability to assess and respond to the unique needs of diverse patient populations. This position has been evaluated as a Level 1 in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) definition of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens. Level I Positions in this category require the performance of tasks which involve exposure to blood and potentially infectious body fluids. Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of electrocardiograms and cardiac-related diagnostic tests.

  • Graduate of a Technical Program for Cardiology or a Registered Nursing License issued by Florida or Compact State
  • BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in a hospital department.
