About The Position

You’ll assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components for mission-critical compressed air systems, confirming every part fits, functions, and meets specification. You’ll read blueprints, method sheets, and assembly diagrams; handle hand and power tools; measure precisely; and collaborate closely with teammates to keep production flowing. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience and strong blueprint reading ability.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to follow instructions from manuals, drawings, and schematics with precision.
  • Commitment to safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience and sound judgment to plan and achieve goals.
  • Ability to learn operation of job-related equipment (power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, measuring devices).
  • Skill in identifying root causes of routine issues and correcting them; eagerness to learn.
  • Comfort working with standard work instructions.
  • Team-oriented, dependable in a manufacturing environment.
  • Detail-focused, self-motivated, and effective in a fast-paced, multi-task setting.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, steel banding).
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with power tools.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and subassemblies on progressive lines per standard work and method sheets.
  • Interpret assembly diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to determine dimensions, design, and materials.
  • Operate pneumatic power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Use measuring devices (tape measures, levels, calipers, micrometers) to verify fit and quality.
  • Identify and report quality defects and unsafe conditions; maintain a safe, clean workspace.
  • Load/unload onto conveyors and carts; operate forklifts and hoists as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain tools/equipment; open work orders for repairs when required.
  • Manage supplies by checking stock levels, placing/expediting orders, and verifying receipts.
  • Assemble and fasten components, verifying connections and overall fit.
  • Perform housekeeping and varied tasks such as brazing, soldering, operating presses, hanging/unhanging parts, and quality checks/tests.
  • Collaborate with teammates, assist across areas, and suggest process improvements.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.
