About The Position

Immediately Hiring! Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician — Chemical Processing Location: Oak Creek, WI Compensation: Starting pay of $33.40/hour plus $0.80/hour shift differential Schedule: Evening shift, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM A day in your evening At 2:30 PM, you clock in and scan the preventive maintenance queue. A reactor’s vibration reading looks high—you investigate, isolate the fault, and return it to spec. Next, you calibrate sensors on a mill, replace worn belts on a mixer, and coordinate with operations to keep production on track. Before handoff, you document the work, close out work orders, and line up tomorrow’s priorities. Throughout, you follow site SOPs and safety protocols to the letter—because in a chemical manufacturing environment, precision and safety are everything. What you’ll handle Hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance for reactors, mills, mixing systems, HVAC assets, and general facilities Execution of preventive maintenance plans and timely completion of assigned work orders Thorough equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent corrective actions Strict adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and site policies What you bring Working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems Ability to work effectively in a chemical manufacturing environment Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred Flexibility to take on varied tasks and work overtime as needed Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE Why PPG Here at PPG, we make it happen.
