About The Position

Air Techniques International (ATI), a division of Hamilton Associates, Inc., is the leading designer and manufacturer of specialized test equipment for HEPA and ULPA filters, flat sheet media, filter cartridges and respirators used by virtually all government, military and commercial organizations worldwide.  ATI strives to build a brand identity of being known as reliable and easy to work with. POSITION OVERVIEW The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will report directly to the Production Manager of ATI and has overall responsibility for the complete and accurate assembly of ATI components and products.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic assembly skills including, but not limited to, use of wrenches, bit drivers, wire crimp tools, and heat guns, and use of thread sealant
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects of up to 65 lbs. as required throughout the work day; physical activity includes frequent bending, reaching, standing, and walking

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or certificate from a technical school
  • 3+ years of hands-on electro-mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Related experience in pneumatic systems, pressure & flow monitoring equipment, aeronautics or HVAC repair
  • Ability with training, to use PC-based applications such as the internet, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel to view assembly and test instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble devices using hand and power tools, and test finished sub-assemblies per work instructions.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings and work procedures.
  • Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality and maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
  • Utilize various electronic test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level.
  • Monitor required inventory levels and notify Inventory Control of inventory shortages.
  • Provide back-up support for shipping, preparing finished products for shipment.
  • Provide back-up assistance regarding customer service inquiries or problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
