Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electro-Mechanical Assembler Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical components and systems in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role is critical to ensure the reliability and performance of our products.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly techniques and tools
  • Experience with engineering drawings
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-620 wire and cable requirements, as well as J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 soldering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system and sub-assembly level electronic component and small gauge wire builds, which may involve tasks such as soldering, crimping, routing, and connecting wires according to engineering schematics, work instructions, or technical specifications.
  • Upgrades and repairs in accordance with assembly instructions and MIL-standard drawings to ensure compliance with military specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow written and verbal directions, as well as read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and connector pin-outs for complex assemblies.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of complex Navy shipboard assemblies, including various types of populated chassis, through-hole circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and component board assemblies.
  • Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on assembled units to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform in a fabrication and repair environment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move components weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of IPC-A-620 wire and cable requirements, as well as J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 soldering standards.
