About The Position

Regal Rexnord Corporation, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Full-time Electro-Mechanical Actuator (EMA) Assembly Technician. Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented technician to perform precision assembly, testing, and troubleshooting for high-reliability electromechanical applications within aerospace, space, and defense industries. This position reports to the bearing production manager and is in Downers Grove, Illinois. Key Accountabilities Primary area of responsibility is assembly and testing of electro-mechanical actuators, under direction of engineering and operations manager. Work with components such as motors, brakes, bearings, gears, circuit boards, and custom wiring harnesses used to assemble and test mission-critical EMA systems. Perform precise mechanical and electrical assembly of complex EMA systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and standards. Perform expert-level soldering, crimping, splicing, and inspection within the highest standard for manufacturing and assembly of cable and wire harness assemblies. Adhere to all safety protocols, including Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention in accordance with ANSI S20.20 Perform other related duties as assigned.   • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or Trade School Certificate strongly preferred.
  • Military Electronics Technician MOS a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 Certification as IPC Specialist (CIS) or Certified Trainer (CIT) certification is required.
  • Troubleshooting of electronics, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and using tools like multimeters or oscilloscopes.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual acuity, including the ability to use magnification equipment for detailed inspection.
  • Assists all levels of engineers with their tasks and assignments.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks related to assembly and testing within the business unit
  • Adapts procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position
