Core Responsibilities: •Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, panels, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, generators, UPS, PDUs, primary switchgear, and emergency backup systems. •Diagnose and resolve issues such as power outages, faults, short circuits, and malfunctioning equipment; perform necessary troubleshooting, testing, and repairs. •Install or modify electrical systems and components during renovations and upsgrades. •Conduct preventive maintenance, testing (e.g., grounding, insulation), and record-keeping per schedules, manufacturer guidelines, and NEC standards. •Ensure compliance with electrical/building codes, NFPA, OSHA, and safety standards; inspect emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and life safety systems. •Log work orders, track metrics, and report on activities using department software. •Collaborate with team members and contractors; provide technical support and supervise electrical contractor work as needed. •Perform minor related trade tasks (e.g., demolition, patching, painting, cleanup) to complete electrical assignments. •Attend at least 2-3 professional training sessions annually, including IUOE Local 30 courses. •All other duties as assigned.
