About The Position

The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

Requirements

• Three to five years' experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience in an industrial/commercial environment is preferred.
• Must have good communication skills, have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to read blueprints, building plans and schematics as required
• Must be able to read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipment
• The ability to use a variety of power tools, hand tools, measuring and testing instruments, and meters safely
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent customer service skills
• Hands-on ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Required to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Comply with all policies, safety guidelines, and procedures; follow all contract specifications and maintain compliance.
• Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
• Must have a government security clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Electrical License or Journeyman Level Certification required
• Universal Refrigerant License desired

Nice To Haves

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field desired
• Universal Refrigerant License desired

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational status checks
• Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and environmental controls
• Ability to identify and diagnose faults in electrical systems and ancillary equipment
• Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring
• Assist with parts, material storage, and inventory
• Develop training programs for teammates
• Assist with general HVAC/maintenance work
• Other general maintenance, housekeeping, plumbing, and electrical duties as required
• Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor/Manager/Lead
