About The Position

dormakaba is seeking a third shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM) Electrician based in Indianapolis, IN. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing facility services, branch circuits, electrical equipment and controls of varying design or complexity, including existing and new construction. HOURLY HIRING RANGE: Base Salary $34/hr - $37/hr and $.75 shift differential plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical school in basic industrial electricity
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Must have a strong understanding of motor control circuits and electrical distribution circuits
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English

Nice To Haves

  • State license
  • 3 + years' work experience in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

  • Maintain/monitor electrical stock and parts inventory at appropriate levels to ensure facility work production.
  • Install electrical systems and conduits as defined by customers or engineers.
  • Maintain and repair: AC and DC motors and control systems, lighting systems, transformers, flame control systems, M.C.C./switchgear.
  • Audit electrical systems for operational and safety conditions, identifying potential hazards and correcting them.
  • Perform pipe fitting installations and repair, per regulated codes, in the manufacturing plant and general offices. This will be done by following customer drawings and instructions.
