As an Electrician (Bargaining Unit Local No. 103), you are a highly skilled and safety-conscious professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments. Your attention to detail and commitment to precision ensure that every electrical system you work on—from high- and low-voltage circuits to airfield lighting and advanced switchgear—operates reliably. You bring strong problem-solving skills and adaptability, allowing you to respond quickly to urgent situations and maintain seamless operations under pressure. Your technical expertise is complemented by a proactive, solutions-driven mindset and a collaborative approach, enabling you to work effectively with other teams and support critical airport infrastructure. You take pride in delivering work that safeguards public safety and supports operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working with low/high voltage systems.
  • Massachusetts Journeyman’s Electrician License.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and high voltage switching gear.
  • Strong technical proficiency and knowledge of computer-based systems, i.e. card access, airfield lighting control, high voltage switchgear monitoring and control.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical systems across airport facilities, signage, parking areas, and airfields to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Create and review wiring diagrams for complex lighting systems, motors, and high/low voltage circuits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and repair airfield lighting and signage in accordance with FAA FAR 139 standards to support safe aircraft operations.
  • Operate effectively in emergency situations, applying airport procedures and codes to protect people, assets, and operational continuity.
