About The Position

Skilled Electrician Needed for Leading Food Processing Plant - Join Us! Competitive Pay plus Generous Benefits. Night Shift- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Every other Wednesday, 7 pm to 7 am plus $2 night shift Differential Night Shift - Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday plus $2 shift Differential Principle Accountabilities P roficient ability to work with Variable Frequency Drives. Installation and programming. Testing, calibrating, and repairing damaged VFD units. Advance troubleshooting. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Proficient ability to troubleshoot PLCs. Knowledgeable in overall plant systems and the interactions of processes. Calibration, repair, adjustment and replacement of components. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Properly diagnosis, repair, and tune burners. Perform adjustments to increase burner efficiency. Repair damaged equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Ensure burner safety components are in good working order. Knowable and ability to perform routine maintenance. Installing/programming new instruments and control valves. Coordinate with programmers to troubleshoot equipment. Maintain plant MCCs Ensure climate control is in good working order. Ensure MCCs are clean and well maintained. Perform Thermal scans on vital components and take corrective action. Diagnose malfunctioning systems and locate the cause of breakdown to correct the problem. Assist all outside electrical contractors with new projects and complicated repairs. Maintain proper function of all Valteks throughout the plant. Troubleshooting of PLC signal types including 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10vdc, transistor to transistor logic and AC/DC inputs and outputs. Proficient in troubleshooting complex high voltage and low voltage AC/DC circuits. Keep all plant HMIs in good working order. Understanding of I/O addressing and how to locate in the facility. Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "What We Stand For" and "The Basic Principles." Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making. Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies. Regularly complete behavior-based safety observations. Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner. All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF 2000. All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years working as an Industrial Electrician in a fast-paced facility environment that is reliant on 24/7 production.
  • Must be able to creatively apply experience and common sense to a variety of situations, processes, and people.
  • Must be able to make technical decisions and support the staff on technical issues.
  • Possess the ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Be able to plan work, order parts, and coordinate downtime to complete work orders.
  • Be able to resolve issues which may include conflicts between employees, equipment malfunctions, and variations in operating conditions.
  • Must demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Office suite and be able to effectively use Maintenance Management Software.
  • Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "What We Stand For" and "The Basic Principles."
  • Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.
