About The Position

Germfree (GF) offers over 55 years of experience in the Life Science Equipment Industry. In the last 16 years, Germfree has expanded its operations to develop and implement ground-breaking technology that has paved the way for new movable and modular laboratory systems. In 2007, after numerous mobile projects, the development of our modular laboratories began. Since then, Germfree has demonstrated international expertise in providing BSL-3 labs built into ISO containers and modular buildings. We have placed fully commissioned CDC-NIH-compliant BSL-3 facilities globally, including installations in remote locations in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America. Germfree exists to “Create Environments that Serve Life Science and Advance Global Health.” REPORTS TO: Electrical Su pervisor DEPT : Production SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Primary duty is to install high and low voltage electrical systems and test/repair as necessary before delivery to the customer.

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrician
  • Familiar with reading and understanding electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical principles and theory; use of electrical measuring instruments; 5+ years relevant experience, depending on the level of job functions.

  • Willing to travel globally (1%); must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the wiring and efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
  • Run cable as required
  • Bend conduit pipe as required
  • Install electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, timers, etc.)
  • Complete projects efficiently and on time
  • Test the function of all electrical components to ensure working as specified under normal operating conditions, using measuring instruments
  • Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair
  • Correct any functional deviations and re-test
  • Other reasonably-related duties
