About The Position

Build your career at US Aggregates! The Electrician is a skilled construction profession responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection and cleaning of all electronic and electrical equipment at the mine site. Must be able to operate equipment necessary to move cable and portable equipment. This position is responsible for performing work at multiple mine sites in their assigned region. Essential Functions Ability to test/troubleshoot electrical components such as PLC’s, motors and pumps and replace or repair as needed Ensuring proper operation of production equipment by performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, prints, and equipment manuals Ability to use hand tools, multi-meter, power tools, levels, etc. Ability to operate forklifts, hoist, and power equipment Good communication skills with machine operators to troubleshoot issues Ability to work overtime when required Day time travel to perform work at assigned sites in region Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills. Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 3+ years of surface coal mine or quarry(aggregate) electrical maintenance and repair experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AC and DC theory and equipment, test procedures, safe work practices, electrical codes, PLC and automation.
  • Knowledge and work experience with low, medium and high voltage equipment and electronic controls as applied to large mining equipment
  • Valid Driver's License Required
  • Ability to work off ladders and manlifts
  • Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Part 46 MSHA Certification Preferred

Responsibilities
