Overview Summary The Electrician is responsible for providing electrical work with installing, repairing and maintaining electrical set ups; and reads blueprints to assist in working with electrical systems to include making repairs and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Ability to install electrical systems in a commercial environment and read and interpret blueprints
- Full understanding of safety procedures and the basics of electrical circuits
- Basic hand tools (power tools and 6-foot ladder plus)
- Familiarity with NEC Standards and electrical codes
- Consent to a pre-employment background and drug screen
- Certifications and or state licensing Electrical Code Safety and QA Wiring Diagrams
- Experience with schools/ education environment
Responsibilities
- Applies electrical work in a commercial setting
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Cuts, bends, threads and runs electrical conduit materials
- Pulls electrical wiring through electrical conduit s
- Terminates electrical panels, sets fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices
- Installs and connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets or other components and systems
