About The Position

- The Electrician Lead at The Beasley Group is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects and maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. This role involves leading a team of electricians, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work preferred.
  • 5 years of verifiable previous on the job training maybe substituted for program or vocational training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician, with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of electricians on large-scale projects.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and control systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and supervise a team.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to walk and climb ladders and perform work on heights over 6 foot off the ground with safety gear.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts up to approximately 60 hours per week.
  • Must be willing to work day shift or night shift if needed.
  • Must be willing to work weekends for on-call events or planned maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians in performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate electrical work with overall project needs and timelines.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including maintenance logs, project documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Manage inventory of electrical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide expert solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Participate in budget planning and manage expenses related to electrical projects and maintenance activities.
