This role is essential in troubleshooting, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems. As well as maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical systems and supporting the smooth operation of our facilities.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, tools, materials, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with electrical, safety, and environmental codes
  • Ability to read plans and estimate time, materials, and equipment needed
  • Skilled in the use and maintenance of electrical tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment
  • Comfortable working in occupied facilities, including nursing/healthcare settings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–4 years of electrical experience, including at least 1 year at the journeyman level, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Nursing home long term care setting preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in wiring, circuits, switchgear, and equipment
  • Install, replace, and maintain electrical systems, fixtures, controls, transformers, breakers, and conduit
  • Test and service high- and low-voltage systems, generators, motors, HVAC, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Perform cable installation, splicing, conduit bending, and underground/overhead work
  • Ensure all work meets electrical codes, safety standards, and trade requirements
  • Order materials, maintain work records, and coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and vendors
  • Assist other trades and perform related maintenance duties as assigned
