Job Description Essential Responsibilities Troubleshoot & repair equipment and building electrical systems. Maintain and repair electrical components such as motors, transformers, switch gear, rectifiers, control systems, fire alarms, motor control centers, and shop machinery power feeds. Run conduit, replace fuses, make new electrical gear installations, troubleshoot circuitry. Perform office electrical maintenance, light trimming, & new installations. Work with schematics and wiring diagrams, order material. Follow all applicable site electrical codes and policies and develop job plans and schematics when necessary. Collaborate with site electrical authorities on repairs and installations. Make comprehensive inspections using a variety of inspection instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions. Analyze and diagnose cause of malfunctions, failures, and repetitive manufacturing problems and recommend and implement proper corrective actions. Analyze malfunctions and execute the repair of control systems and install, maintain, or modify such systems. Perform facilities and equipment maintenance, as needed. Plan, layout, rig, move, erect, and install complex equipment and machinery, overhead cranes, etc. Keep work areas and equipment clean and operating safely. Train others, as necessary Participate in and own Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and trainings as required. Utilizes appropriate PPE for all job functions, participates in job safety planning and risk assessments. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to improve quality and product flow. Participate in lean initiatives, using 6 Sigma tools for process improvements. Identify and implement Kaizens for continuous improvement. Work at heights in scissor lifts and boom lifts Operate fork trucks for material movement and unloading of deliveries. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Order materials and parts for job execution Request quotes from OEM vendors Use current CMMS work order system to process and complete job assignments. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • A.A.S. two-year degree or equivalent in applicable field of study
  • Military advanced training in applicable field
  • Journeyman credentials in applicable field
  • Minimum 2 years of industry related experience
  • Experience in the Mechanical and Electrical field
  • Certified training and equivalent experience or certificate and degree program
