Requirements

  • Must have documented proof of experience in the industrial electrical field and/or a journeyman's card.
  • A Journeyman's card or the completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Must be available to work any shift schedule as assigned.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach above head level when working on elevated equipment
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladder or stairs
  • Ability to push and pull equipment into proper placement
  • Ability to work in extreme or hot, cold environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also with others in a team environment.
  • Must be a US Person as defined by 22CFR120.15.
  • Strong industrial electrical background
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Having access to CUI (controlled unclassified information)

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree is highly desirable.
  • PLC, VFD and instrumentation experience a plus
  • The ability to work with other trades to accomplish a positive outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all electrical devices and machines within the plant and ensure proper running conditions including all safety devices to ensure proper working order.
  • Utilize skills to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve all power distribution and manufacturing equipment including:
  • Follow all Morgan safety standards and guide lines.
  • Follow all NFPA and National Electrical codes.
  • Utilize all Arc Flash gear when called upon.
  • Provide technical support for all electrical process equipment
  • Perform moderate to complex installation, troubleshoot and repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and components such as motors, drives, relays, starters and other related electrical devices used for industrial equipment.
  • Insure that no safety devices are by-passed or eliminated without proper authorization.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment.
  • Perform tasks as directed by plant supervisor.
  • All other duties assigned by management.
