About The Position

Tessera is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Electrician Lead to support electrical operations at the USAFA. This role involves inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across commercial and industrial environments. All work must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Colorado state licensing standards, and Department of Defense (DoD) safety protocols. This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to perform in a secure, mission-critical setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License in good standing
  • Advanced understanding of NEC standards, electrical diagnostics, and system troubleshooting
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems including lighting, motors, generators, and intercoms
  • Provide field-based technical guidance, mentoring, and support to electricians and maintenance staff
  • Plan and execute electrical work using blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Install and repair outlets, switches, circuit breakers, sensors, and lighting components in compliance with NEC standards
  • Operate lift equipment and perform tasks at heights, in confined spaces, and under adverse weather conditions
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and material usage while ensuring proper wire identification and connections
  • Uphold safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain professionalism across all tasks and interactions
