About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for maintaining and/or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal, BNH employees only. External candidates will not be considered The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. The successful candidate u nder general supervision, as a working group leader over lower grade craftsman, directs and performs a wide variety of technical. Mechanical, electrical, and manual work in Power Control and other facilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six years of electrician experience in Power Control or a facility performing electrical maintenance operations. Progressive electrical experience in the trade may be substituted for the required experience.
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work at heights above 20’
  • Must be able to work in areas with high noise levels
  • Must be able to work in areas that could produce large amounts of static electricity
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions
  • Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Current United States Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network

  • Active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to Transformers, Unit substations and switch
  • Perform maintenance on facilities and utilities generators
  • Perform maintenance on 125DC battery systems
  • Take oil samples in high voltage yards up to 161KV
  • Perform test on relay systems that provide protection for all electrical systems across the base
  • Issue dig permits across the base
  • Operate the Test Truck for multiple systems and motors testing across the base
  • Install and maintain facility systems
  • Accomplish maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operations
  • Uses a wide variety of hand and machine tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipment
  • Instructs less experienced lower grade craftsmen
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Participation in functional specific safety training.
