SCOPE: Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.

Requirements

  • Must have H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet all requirements of Electrician Level II or equivalent
  • Must have work experience within the last 5 years in the area of interest
  • Demonstrated behavior of high-quality work and high productivity
  • Not have received a “written corrective action” in the last 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.
  • Responsible for mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and other devices, etc.
  • Design and fabricate electrical boxes for installation of components.
  • Drill, edge fill, fit and assemble a variety of detail parts, and assemblies, including cutting openings in bodies to accommodate wire and components, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspect proper installations and integrity.
  • Ability to use general and precision tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc
  • Must read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and records.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Perform assembly operations on structural and mechanical sub/assemblies, equipment, and accessories.
  • Perform other work as assigned
  • Performs or assists with production operations, as required or directed, to maintain work flow or respond to production requirements.
  • Follows safety rules, promotes safe operating conditions within area and notifies supervisor of unusual or unsafe operating conditions.
  • Participates in a variety of meetings, training programs and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, help resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to changes to equipment, process, new developments, requirements, policies and procedures.
