Requirements

  • A current OR Journeyman’s Electrical License.
  • A current state driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license
  • One year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience performing electrical work in a facility or industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan electrical layouts and install power supply wiring, conduit, cables, and electrical connections for new machines and equipment, including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers
  • Work with maintenance teams to test, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures by replacing damaged or broken cables.
  • Replace and install electric motors, bearings, sensing devices, relays, switches, and circuit boards to set up new machines and restore faulty machine operation.
  • Program automated machinery including robots by pressing keys and pushing buttons on controllers to test for malfunctions and verify repairs.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Maintain consistent, proactive communication with team members through use of a provided radio or phone.
