Requirements

  • Under general supervision, inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Be competent to perform tasks that may impact on health and safety in the workplace.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities

  • Works with and installs all types of conduit, wiring and power distribution equipment for the plant and equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Climbs to and works safely from heights up to 80 feet.
  • Uses tools and test equipment normally associated with the trade.
  • Works from prints, diagrams and procedures covering work to be performed.
  • Operates equipment such as fork trucks and cranes.
  • Works with vendors and Purchasing to procure material necessary for the job.
  • Handles hazardous materials properly.
  • May perform other Maintenance duties, including but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, grounds maintenance, etc.
  • May be required to program and maintain building automation systems.
  • May work with and install telephone and data lines.
  • Promotes a safe and healthy workplace by following safety rules.
