About The Position

Are you ready to keep critical systems running and make a real impact in your community? EPCOR is hiring a full-time Electrician I or II to join our San Tan, AZ operations team. This is your opportunity to work on advanced electrical systems that power essential water and wastewater facilities. What You’ll Do: Perform electrical and process control equipment maintenance at well sites, water plants, pumping stations, and other facilities. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, calibrate, and fabricate a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment including generators, motors, relays, switch gears, instrumentation, alarm circuits, and programmable controllers. Evaluate part and equipment failures; order parts, materials, and supplies required for electrical and mechanical repairs. Interact with contractors and support installation of process control equipment. Collaborate with Instrumentation and Controls Engineers on design, review, and implementation of process control systems. Ensure operational integrity meets regulatory and company standards for quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, and security. You may encounter exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, fumes, and potable water while performing your duties. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a recognized four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
  • Two years of industrial electrician experience at a skilled level.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • Computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
  • Electrician I: Minimum of two years of on-the-job experience or equivalent.
  • Electrician II: Minimum of three years of on-the-job experience or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Grade 1 ADEQ certification is desired.
  • Experience in electrical/process controls within water and wastewater utilities is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of utility system maintenance programs and working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and process control equipment.
