Job Summary The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for a range of tasks related to systems integration equipment and process operations that require technical expertise. This role includes testing, assembling, and evaluating various types of AC and DC components. Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in utilizing electronic and mechanical equipment, such as multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and calipers, as well as a solid understanding of AC and DC theory. Requirements

  • Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset
  • No prior experience needed
  • Electrical Wiring Installation.
  • Install Electrical Services.
  • Reading Blueprints/Diagrams.
  • Safety Inspections.
  • Troubleshooting Electrical Codes.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
  • Typically requires an Electrician's license granted by state

Responsibilities

  • Assists with inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Supports with testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Assists with replacing conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
